Deleting many words from queue

Hugo   December 11th, 2010 10:44a.m.

I recently added about 1500 words by combining my learned characters and creating new words through this site: http://huygens.functor.nl/skritter/wordlist/

Actually I realized this are way too many words and I can't get to my words from Chinesepod since they are at the end of my queue. On the queue viewer page there is only the possibility to remove 10 words per page so this will take a long time..

is there a way to empty your entire queue?

+10 on this one. I had to wipe a huge queue out manually once and it was God-awful.

you can add them to your scratchpad, with tracking on, mark them all as wrong- and it will be bumped into your active queue, if you didn't want to delete your queue and lose any words but want to bump some words up into higher priority

In a related vein - it would be really handy to be able to reorder the queue, too, at least to be able to move selected words to the top of the queue. That might help @Hugo out without forcing him to delete all the words he just went to the trouble of adding.

I would use a reordering feature. Then when I add something I really need to know I can insert it above other things maybe added on a lark.

I actually tried removing words from my queue, but when in Alpha mode there is no possibility to select words in the queue and so I am not even able to delete words at all..?

scott   December 13th, 2010 5:18p.m.

Whoa, looks like I broke both the delete function and the layout a bit on the queue when I was moving things around for the new alpha features. I've righted that wrong and will upload that soon.

If you have a lot of words in your queue we can delete them all for you. Just confirm that's what you want and I'll save you the time. Can do it a lot faster with a script on the backend.

As for upgrades to the queue, we're planning on making the queue into a list and improving the way lists work. So no major upgrades to the queue for now, since we're planning on pretty much reworking the whole thing. Will make sure you can reorder things though!

Yes, please delete my entire queue! I'm getting tired of seeing the same characters 1000 times :)

thanks
