I was making a list in the new alpha for the first time and I was delighted to see that the words seemed to be links already (because they are blue now and not just bold anymore) so I could use the details pop-up while still editing or adding words.

When I tried to access the details popup for a word though, nothing seemed to happen. Then I found that the popup had not popped-up in front of the 'adding words'-popup, but below it and about for times (I clicked on it repeatedly, since nothing had seemed to happen).
When I tried to just close the superfluous windows, all pop-ups disappeared and I lost my words (not sure that that wasn't somehow my fault).

Tried to recreated the bug, but no I just can't click on the blue words at all anymore (are they even supposed to be links?).

Okay, tried it again. The details pop-up opens but on the same "layer" as the editing words pop-up, so you have to scroll all the way down to see it.

I this surprising since you can open an infinite amount of details pop-ups and they will just stack up, on in front of the other.

Another update:

Closing the details pop-up closes the adding words pop-up and all your progress is lost!
(didn't lose anything this time though)

Maybe there's a more generalized problem with the detailed pop-ups right now. They're not coming up for me on the practice page either. I get either an empty white rectangle the normal width but high enough for one line of text or I get a popup which says loading but nothing happens. This is alpha version running on Vista/Chrome.

Pop-ups in general seem to work just fine for me. Was able to open about a dozen detail pop-ups on top of each other and close them one at a time.

Working fine again for me, too.

Well no, I was just checking pop-ups in general since dorritg proposed it might have to do with them in general.
Just checked up on using the list pop-up AND the details pop-up and the option disappeared. The words are back to being black while you can edit them and only turn into links after you save.

So I guess Scott just took that feature out. It's no big deal, but I hope eventually accessing the details pop-up while adding words will be possible. :)

Yeah, I didn't intend to turn those into links actually, I was trying to be a good programmer and reuse code and that's what happened!

I've put that on a list of things to discuss putting into the alpha version; wouldn't be hard to have it in there but it may interfere with clicking the row to edit it, I'm not sure if that would be a problem; that's why we didn't put it there in the first place.
