Other than the input, the rest of Skritter is bad

The very basic input mechanism is good but the rest is bad- I just want to practice kanji and learn tango (Japanese words) online. Unless you create your own massive lists which keep dispearing if you don't cram them immediately. I don't want to have read through to the text which is forced on you- you should be able practice as you learn and it should be kanji focused not list focused so if you learn/practice a few kanji or relearn a few kanji, you then learn tango based on those kanji and the pronounciation of those tango (Japanese changes pronounciation of kanji depending on the tango) . The help is totally insufficient and there should more on the interface so its nearly intuitive- you shouldn't have to understand all of Skritter from the demo. I have tried to remonstrate with the Scott Erikson but he doesn't care about the poor aspects of Skritter. I'll go to paper once my trial subscription runs it combined with online dictionaries (and electronic dictionaries) is far better than Skritter.

The documentation is insufficient, I agree. Sorry about that.

Scott tried to help you figure out how to use it in the way you wanted, based on your brief complaint about it being silly, but it was still too difficult? If you had turned on alpha features and seen the new vocabulary system we just put up, you might have had an easier time; it should be a lot more intuitive in just the ways you're asking.

Skritter can easily do everything you describe without making a single list, so if you ever want to try again, just shoot us an email and we'll try to get you through the confusing parts.

Skritter is wonderful. However, even the geatest things in earth could not please everyone. WE LOVE SKRITTER! You dont like, just leave it.

Cloa513 seems have no technical background :) (no offence!). As for me, all the features were immediately clear even back in may, and I never read help pages, since the my engineering carrier, all went, (continues to go), by motto: If have tried everything, and it still does not works, then check manual :). However, that may not be true for Cisco BGP configuration and nuclear power station central console, but for Skritter does the job.

I don't know for Japanese. But for Chinese, Skritter does the job as for characters. Without skritter, I would not be at 1000 characters that fast and that smoothly.
