Cram list ignores single-character words

levitooker   December 5th, 2010 12:22p.m.

Has anybody else noticed that the cram list function hates single-character words? I've been making my way through the new HSK lists, cramming one list at a time to add it to my vocabulary. However, when I cram a new list, here's what happens: It goes through each item one by one, prompting me to write it, including both single- and multi-character words. Then it starts to ask me the Pinyin, but only for the multi-character words. From then on it'll start asking me to write the characters and type the Pinyin for only multi-character words (I don't study definitions), ignoring review for the single-character writings and not testing me on single-character Pinyins at all. I have to put the single-character words into the scratchpad to turn my P's green on the vocab list.

I end up seeing things like this:

I've got this on my bug list to investigate. Hands pretty full at the moment, but I'll figure it out eventually.
