Study Page day by day reviews

The more you use it, the more it asks of you. If I wake up to 300 reviews and then do them all, it'll normally go back to a hundred or so by the time I get back home.

I'm not sure if this is the right thing, but I just Skritter as much as I can. I rarely can get my lists down to zero. Once they get down to the 20s, more words get added to my lists so it is always growing bigger and bigger.

I wouldn't worry about the numbers. 300 something reviews seems like a lot, but then you realize it only takes about 5 seconds to write a character, so you will eventually go through them faster than what you are now.

This is just based on my experience. I'm not sure how everyone else uses it.

Second xiaobill's comment. If you're including definitions and tones 200-300 will go very quickly - in the 5-10 minute range, depending on retention. New characters of course are much slower.

My understanding is that for newer characters in your review queue, once you complete them they could appear again quite quickly (in the same day), particularly so if you got them incorrect - this could be why your reviews aren't necessarily decreasing, the count may not include potential repeat reviews in the schedule.

On Thursday evening, you had 16 reviews due of the 55 that would become due by the end of Thursday night. On Friday evening, you had those 55 due, plus 130 of the reviews that were becoming due on Friday. 25 of Friday's reviews were for Friday night after you looked, so not all 158 of Friday's reviews were due yet.

That is to say, the numbers for any particular day in the future are not cumulative with the reviews you have due now or becoming due later.

I agree that I am not quite sure how the reviewing works yet. I have taken the same approach as xiaobill and just keep on skrittering. I have also stopped adding words on my lists until the reviews get smaller so I don't get inundated with hundreds of reviews. I wanted to keep the word pool smaller until I fully mastered the characters so I felt like I was successfully remembering characters.

Although I slowed the pace down from FAST to NORMAL for i can increase my retention. It was dipping around the 89% range. Trying to get it back up to 95%.
