Both Chinese and Japanese on skritter?

menglelan   August 12th, 2011 4:10p.m.

Is it possible to study both Chinese and Japanese on skritter and how to set up skritter for those two languages?

You can switch between the two languages by clicking the "lang: en-something" text at the top right of the page.

I don't recommend it. You might become a junkie, like me.

by clicking on the tab, you swap, so you study them separately. don't get yourself confused.

Most polyglots seem to agree that learning two languages at once is nearly impossible. It's hard enough learning a new language with your native language distracting you. :p

There are already a bunch of people on Skritter who are doing it. I'm curious to hear more about their experiences.

I totally disagree that learning two languages at a time is nearly impossible. On the contrary, I think it helps... provided that the two languages are from different language families, i.e. to evade confusion between the two. When I was learning Swedish, my progress span right up when I started Italian as well.

Chinese and Japanese are not related, so it should be fine. :p
