Request: Night mode color for the Android mobile version

qiaodan   May 31st, 2011 5:35p.m.

Hi guys since I have problem with my eyes I found very uncomfortable using Skritter with white color as desktop specially at night. I really would like using dark color with high contrast.I don't know if there is a settings inside Skritter or in the browser. Please help me or consider it as a request.
Thanks in advance.

That's a good idea. I will put that on my list of things to try with these new Android layouts I'm working on.

Actually, this would be nice for the normal version for the same reason.

Agree with Lawnmower. I won't be an user but I know some people with sight problem that would be happy to have Skritter with inverted color.

Another reason to add this feature is for save battery life:

•TFT display has constant current as backlight which must be on no matter what
picture is displayed.
• Conclusion – use Black background on OLED to minimise power (Even on LCD you can save battery, but on OLED is best optimized)

Power usage heavily influenced by color brightness - white 330% of TFT, dark - 40,27% of TFT.

I really suggest Nick to read these slide from page 15 to 30 and follow this design guidelines.

Ah, that's a very helpful resource! Even more reason to go black.
