Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

custom list searching

I'm sure this is on a TODO lost but can I get a +1 for searching custom lists using more than 1 word in the search criteria? Its seems a fairly arbitrary limitation.

Also, is there anywhere I should check to avoid requesting/suggesting and improvement you guys are already working on?

Thanks, keep up the awesome work guys.

Unfortunately, we don't have a public issue tracker or anything like that you can check to see what we're working on. This one actually hasn't been brought up before, surprisingly.

We can't search for custom lists by more than one word without a lot of work. Scott keeps talking like he can figure out a good solution, but I don't believe him.

Search engines are tough, making a good one anyway.

But I do want to try! There are just always so many other things to do of course.

Oh I didn't want a good search engine... :) just something that would allow multiple name matches on the title. Buuuuuut that said I'm sure you have lots of good technical reasons why that might be a pain. and lots of good business reasons why it isn't a priority.

FYI no idea what you guys use under the hood but http://www.elasticsearch.com/products/elasticsearch/ is really quite nice for indexing and searching junk. Plus they agree with you that search is hard...

Checked out the video for elasticsearch, that looks pretty cool! Unfortunately it doesn't run on AppEngine. Preferably would want to make a search integrated with the rest of our main server, but we could use that to have a search engine separate from the rest of our server...
