Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Adding words from MDBG when in China

swimming   March 22nd, 2012 11:09p.m.

The option of quickly adding words to a vocab list through MDBG is really great and I use it a lot.

I am now in China. Things work fine when I am using www.skritter.cn.

The only (small) problem is that when I want to add a word from MDBG it first tries to access www.skritter.com. After several minutes I get a message that suggests using www.skritter.cn. When I switch to www.skritter.cn, the word is added, but this is a long and cumbersome process.

Is there any way of making MDBG access www.skritter.cn directly when accessed from China?

That's a good point! I'll set up an automatic redirect for that.
