Extreme Challenge Results

Hilt   June 1st, 2011 3:55a.m.

Dear Skritter team,

When will you be releasing the results of the Skritter extreme challenge? I have studied endlessly for 25 days and want to know if I have made it or not!

Hilt.

Bohan   June 1st, 2011 7:50a.m.

I can't wait to try out the writing pad !!!

joshwhitson13   June 1st, 2011 9:59a.m.

Is the challenge still possibly going on in some time zones and therefore not over?

nick   June 1st, 2011 4:32p.m.

I'm calculating the winners as we speak. It takes a long time to run that script, but winners should all get emails sometime "today" (where "today" is "before George goes to sleep"). We'll be asking what prizes you want and your shipping info, so please respond to those quickly so we can get it all sent out promptly in a big batch.

mathpie   June 1st, 2011 4:53p.m.

Great! Can't wait! (I'm really excited, and I just had a can of soda)

LinXiong   June 1st, 2011 6:12p.m.

can't wait either ^^

mathpie   June 1st, 2011 9:29p.m.

Hm... Have the e-mails been sent out yet? I'm starting to get a little concerned...

Anyway, if not, I'll gladly wait another few hours for a prize so valuable!

Nicki   June 1st, 2011 9:53p.m.

Yes please post here as well so we know either way...anxious as well.

Bohan   June 1st, 2011 11:29p.m.

@Nick if you could, please post a brief message on this thread after all of the emails have been sent out

nick   June 2nd, 2011 1:21a.m.

Never mind, there are way more of you than I thought. It's going to take us until tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Bohan   June 2nd, 2011 1:29a.m.

@Nick no worries. No big rush

mathpie   June 2nd, 2011 5:05p.m.

Whew... A little shocked when I checked my inbox today. They still haven't been sent out yet, right?

Nicki   June 2nd, 2011 7:14p.m.

Hope not...

mathpie   June 2nd, 2011 7:48p.m.

Yeah, right?

Elwin   June 2nd, 2011 8:02p.m.

@mathpie probably not yet, it's still only 5-8pm in USA and the guys might work til pretty late sometimes ;-)

You got interesting statistics in your profile by the way! You joined in October 2010, but studied the 25 hours in the last month? Does that mean that you have been paying for Skritter for half a year without using it? ;-)

mathpie   June 2nd, 2011 8:26p.m.

Yeah, I haven't been using it much before now; maybe a few minutes here and there, but this was the motivation to skritter. You're probably right as well.

Thanks :)

Nicki   June 2nd, 2011 9:55p.m.

GOT MINE! I have completed the challenge and the emails are going out! WOOHOO!

atdlouis   June 2nd, 2011 10:46p.m.

I got my e-mail as well. Over 100 people qualified - I hope you guys get a discount on those writing tablets when you order them for us!

Alex

jww1066   June 2nd, 2011 11:08p.m.

I think it's fantastic that over 100 people qualified. The amount of learning stimulated by the challenge must have been astronomical.

Elwin   June 2nd, 2011 11:27p.m.

I just received the email and George counted me as just being under the 25 hours, but at least I'm qualified for the honor code it states. According to my stats in Progress I have studied 25 hours and 15 minutes from May 7-31 so it should be fine. And I've spent hours on trying to access Skritter in the last few weeks since my internet company has been blocking all sites that are not 100% Chinese for long periods at daytime. But I agree they should not be too lenient and keep it challenging!

The next newsletter will include some explosive stats then, lol. And with all these Wacoms sent out next month, maybe these stats won't be an exception.

Bohan   June 3rd, 2011 3:11a.m.

I wonder how many of the 100-plus people who completed the challenge are going to want writing tablets ? My guess is...65

I think a lot of people probably just wanted to do it for the challenge, and some already have a tablet

mw   June 3rd, 2011 5:18a.m.

I heard the Skritter guys decided to first ship the writing pads to subscribers outside the USA and, only if there are any pads left, after that to ship 'm to USA residents as well. A very nice Skritter sticker will be sent to anyone who will miss out on the pad as a result of this (while still having completed 25 hours in 25 days).

;-)

LinXiong   June 3rd, 2011 8:11a.m.

have all e-mails been sent out? EDIT: forgot which e-mail I used, and the email was at the "other" account

FunshineFirefly   June 4th, 2011 6:36p.m.

hmm interesting mw, where'd you hear that?

mw   June 5th, 2011 4:38a.m.
