In the Skritter database, this character 干 has a lot of problems. E.g. Emperor 乾隆 becomes 干隆. Then
干戈 and 天干 become 乾戈 and 天乾 in their traditional forms. But 精干 is still 精干 in the traditional form.

Thank you. I can see that 干戈, 天干 and 精干 have been corrected. What's remaining is the simplified character 乾 [qián] . The simplified words 乾坤 and 乾隆 must not be further simplified to 干坤 and 干隆.

In the database, I've found another one “干道 qiándào Taoist priest”. This one should also be written as 乾道. If written as 干道, than it should be 干道 幹道 gàndào a major road for traffic .

Searching on Internet, I've found that 乾道 actually means 天道，阳刚之道。
Also, it is the era name of Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty AD 1165 – 1173 , and the era name of Emperor Huizong of Western Xia AD 1069 - 1070.

We can't support having 乾 as a simplified character, unfortunately, since it has to be a traditional form of 干, and the system doesn't support multiple simplifieds for one character.

It seems that 着, 著 can be done. Both 着 and 著 are simplified characters and 着 is also the simplified form of 著.

For that, we've gone the other way and not had 著 linked as a traditional of 着. It's just a question of which set of words we want to break more. It seems that for 乾, it's much more commonly used as a traditional of 干 than as a simplified character in its own right, whereas for 著, the simplified usages are important enough to break the traditional linkages.

One work-around if you really want to study 乾隆 would be to pause all your lists, set that you also want to learn traditional characters, add this word to your studies and change your settings to 'simplified and previously learned traditional'.
