Did you mean... splitter?

cobif   May 29th, 2012 5:29p.m.

I presume I'm not the only one refreshing an App Store search on a continuous loop, hoping to get hold of the iOS app the millisecond it comes out...

戴德辉   May 29th, 2012 5:48p.m.

Yep, same. I hate you splitter, whatever you are.

范博涵   May 29th, 2012 5:49p.m.

Not really. Que sera, sera.
How on earth were you able to study 1800 characters and 2300 words in just 130 hours? Did you have previous knowledge? Or have you been one of the beta testers and is the iOS app really that much more efficient? ;-)

cobif   May 29th, 2012 6:17p.m.

Not a beta tester... what I would have given to be one! (To be fair, I could just jailbreak my iPhone... I guess I'm not truly hardcore).
I didn't come in cold, I'd been learning for a while before I really got into Skritter. Even then, it took me a while to 'get it' (i.e. it's much more than just learning character writings...), but since then I've never looked back!

Sign up on the http://www.skritter.com/ios list and you'll be sure to get notified as soon as it's out. No need to keep refreshing the App Store--just your inbox.

We're delayed due to a bug in iTunes Connect--the review process is held up until it can be solved, after which we can resubmit without a corrupted in-app purchase.

cobif   May 29th, 2012 6:27p.m.

Thanks for the update Nick! I can get back to the real world for the time being...

(I had signed up to the list... refreshing iTunes just makes my life a bit more exciting)

Bohan   May 30th, 2012 12:42a.m.

@Nick It sounds like you guys are close enough now that you can give an estimate as to about when the app will be released

icebear   May 30th, 2012 1:08a.m.

@Bohan - That estimate would have been yesterday if Apple hadn't taken issue with anything - Skritter had submitted what they considered finished and ready for release. As it stands all further delays are in Apple's hands regarding the approval process, which the Skritter team are now hostage to.

It is exciting to see Wacom tablet users waiting for the app like this.I don't have one and have never skritter the real way.I am waiting for the app to launch and then will my decision to buy an ipad/ipod touch will pretty much depend on whether I like the app that much or not.
I hope the makes me spend 30,500 INR for that shiny Ipad.

I have use memrise.com with some decent success to learn characters. Is there anyone else here who uses memrise.com ? How different is skritter experience from it ?
